Sundsvall

Sundsvall is the city that kept coming back, being rebuilt four times after fires. Forestry drove much of its port development, but the response to repeated fires decided the civic leaders to rebuild in stone. Today the Kulturmagasinet is one of Sweden’s most admired redevelopments of stone buildings for community use.
