Skara

Skara in Västergötland was one of Sweden’s early bishoprics and power centres, but today is a quiet town dominated by a cathedral founded in at least the 11th century. The abbey of Varnhem nearby is one of Sweden’s oldest and cranes migrating from southern Europe gather near Skara in March and April.
