Örebro

A city in central Sweden grew up around a medieval and Renaissance castle. It became a stronghold for Swedish resistance to Demark and a centre of the Swedish Reformation. Lake and canal linkages later developed it as a graceful inland port. Wealth flowed into Örebro and today travellers can visit a powerful castle and one of Sweden’s best open-air museums.
