The most beautiful cities in Sweden

Sweden is a country of rare beauty, even amid its starkest northern landscapes. Its cities and towns testify to 1000 years of urban life, but there are precious places offering glimpses into even older traditions of human settlement.

Customs rules

Sweden is part of the Schengen agreement. Non-Schengen European citizens who want to visit Sweden for more than 90 days in 180 days require a visa, while Schengen restrictions on citizens of many countries apply.

Alcohol can be imported for family consumption with the usual defined limits being 10 litres of spirits, 90 litres of wine, 20 litres of fortified wine and 110 litres of beer. But travellers should be able to demonstrate the import is for personal use. The limits for tobacco are 800 cigarettes and 1kg of smoking tobacco.
