Laundry in Czechia

Laundry is not a big challenge for visitors in Czech cities, where laundromat service is good. There are more than 30 Speed Queen laundromats in Czechia. These are available in Prague, Brno, Plžen and  Olomuoc. The small Speed Queen site in Merhautova, a suburb of Brno, is good but hard to find behind shops and a fast-food bar.

Further self-service laundromat (samoobslužná prádelna) outlets are in Prague and Brno. The Lavor laundromat chain is the most common in and around Prague, with about 15 outlets. At these, a load up to 10kg usually costs 170-200Kč to wash or dry.

There are also several Quickwash outlets, two of which service Ostrava.

More than 50 outdoor Prádlomat machine kiosks, accessible 24 hours, are mostly co-located with supermarkets. An 8kg wash costs 200Kč, a 20kg load 300Kč. Dryers (50Kč) holding up to 20kg are in the kiosks. The system includes English instruction screen, a card payment facility and SMS completion alerts.
